2007-08 Mother Lode Volkswagen Club Bylaws

Members of the Mother Lode Volkswagen Club must be 18 years of age or older and must have a valid drivers license and automobile insurance if driving to club functions.

Bylaws and membership dues will be reviewed and voted on at the September general meeting each year. Dues will be payable by the following January meeting.

Membership is $20 per year for an individual and $30 per year for a couple. First-time members also receive a free club t-shirt and vinyl club decal each.

A voting member is required to pay the membership dues annually by January. If you have not paid your dues, you cannot vote at meetings and are not considered a member of the club.

Elections will be held annually in January.

Children of members must be with a parent at all times during club functions, meetings, etc.

The interest in Volkswagens, both air and/or water-cooled is a requirement. Ownership of a Volkswagen vehicle is not required.

Meetings are held monthly in Angels Camp or a predetermined location. Location will be decided monthly.

Attendance at all meetings or events is not a requirement. Your presence is preferred and your ideas are welcomed.

When attending a club function or representing the Mother Lode Volkswagen Club in any way, members are requested to behave in a respectable manner.

The Mother Lode Volkswagen Club has the right, by membership vote, to dismiss any member for unfavorable behavior.

No member can represent the Mother Lode Volkswagen Club in political or self-serving activities or endorsements.

All bank accounts held in the name of the Mother Lode Volkswagen Club will require the signature of two, out of three signors on the account to withdraw funds or to disperse checks. The account signors can include the club president, vice-president, secretary or treasurer.

Members will share with others, ideas, information, motivation and inspiration for the purchasing or restoration of Volkswagen vehicles.

It is hoped, that by our deeds and functions, that we will inspire others with an interest in Volkswagens to join us.
